Christmas in Glasgow is something quite special!

As Glasgow catches its breath after the success of COP26, our glorious city must do a quick costume change to get ready for Christmas 2021 and New Year 2022.

With close to 30,000 delegates attending #COP26, the publicity and popularity of Glasgow as a city break has skyrocketed, so much so that getting a hotel room in Glasgow for Christmas and the New Year may prove more difficult than ever.

And as for what’s on in Glasgow this Christmas, we cannot even begin to list the number of incredible events and activities to enjoy. Let’s focus on the best ones to go for if you have limited time during your stay in Glasgow, over the festive season.

The well-known annual Christmas Markets have already returned to St Enoch Square, Glasgow. Running until December 23rd, they are a must visit market to pick up traditional festive goods and of course enjoy piping hot food and drink to warm you up on a crisp Glaswegian evening.

For serious festive fun that kicks off on December 22nd 2021 and finishes on January 16th 2022, the Irn Bru Carnival is the city’s most loved event on the Christmas and New Year Calendar. From hook a duck, to thrill rides, bring all the family along to enjoy all the fun of the fair. Ticket and event information visit here.

Get yer skates on this year and make sure you secure your Elfingrove tickets well in advance.
